by David Attenborough – My Witness Statement and a Vision for the Future
A couple of days ago we celebrated International Book Giving Day which prompted me to share my thoughts on David Attenborough’s most recent book – A Life on Our Planet.
In the book David goes back to 1937 and takes us through the years right up to 2020 describing how humans have adversely impacted the planet we live on.
Part two of the book tells the reader what’s in store for us if we don’t change and adapt, likening our planet to a petri dish with bacteria as humans is not for pleasant reading.
Part three describes how we can adapt including the massive challenge of rewilding the lands and oceans of the world.
This really is a great read and really opened my eyes to what we’ve done as a race to planet earth. Even more encouraging though, is that we already have the knowledge of how to stop and reverse the damage we’ve caused.
